History

Esencias Químicas S.A.C. was founded as a support company to one of the first and best recognized companies in the market at the time, on October 2, 1970, by all the shareholders of this company. Don Héctor Luciano Sarria Sánchez, one of these enterprising shareholders, who started his long career as a collaborator in the commercial area, acquired, in 1988, the total shares of the company and since then ESQUISA took a new direction.

Given the way it was founded, the company did not start from scratch. It had a base of formulations and the experience legacy of its initial creators, who were even the creators of the great flavour of the best-selling soft drink in Peru and which is worldwide recognized.

In 1992, a second brand, "KISS", was created, oriented to the popular markets, thus expanding the customer base. This growth allowed the incorporation of more professionals and technicians, making its trademarks to be recognized nationwide and have excellent acceptance.

In 1995, Terpene extraction tanks were installed in the plant, to process essential oils, mainly citrus such as orange or lemon, in order to optimize costs and processes of one of the flagship products of the company, the essence of Panetón or Easter cake.

In May 2000, Don Hector Sarria dies, and his wife, Mrs. Angelica Arana, takes over the company and redirects its management. His son, Miguel Sarria Arana, took charge of the commercial area.

Driven by new ideas, the company began exporting to various countries in Latin America, expanding its plant, buying a new and larger local, and going into a continuous improvement of quality under various plans.

In 2008, gets into the line of salty flavours for the meat industry, sauces, and snacks, among others. In 2010, it incorporates, in alliance with suppliers, the fine fragrances line, for cosmetics and high perfumery, and complementing all this with representations of very well known trademarks.

Today we have a highly skilled technical staff, and areas of R & D, Applications, Quality Assurance, among others, with food, industrial, and chemical engineers, and the necessary equipment that allow us the execution and fulfilment of your requirements with readiness, economy and quality.

Our facilities include two production plants, shops, offices and a training centre, in which you can find the various alternatives that are part of our battery of over 10,000 formulations suitable for all type of applications.
